Before I go any further in writing these articles, tips or quotes,  I would like to make it clear that I am not claiming to be the founder of these ideas.

What I write about on this site I have either studied, read, been taught or experienced.  Some of which has been made much clearer as I was picking myself up off the ground.

THIS IS A LIST OF SOME TIPS THAT I HAVE FOUND HELPFUL . SOME OF THESE TIPS PERTAIN TO CLINTON ANDERSON'S DVD SERIES . IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US BY E-MAIL.

To achieve forward movement at the desired speed, first and foremost we must remain consistent with the following cues.

Squeeze with calves while holding a loose rein. Once horse moves forward, release leg pressure. If horse continues to increase speed once you release pressure, bring horse to a one rein stop, flex laterally until horse softens and relaxes then again squeeze and ask for forward movement .

Get ready folks, here comes spring and with it one of the favorite times of the year to ride.

I got a jump on things last week-end and was able to pleasure ride with some friends of mine.

Usually, most of my rides are geared toward schooling the horse while riding alone.During my ride I was reminded of how consistency in cueing our horse is one of the things we must concentrate on.
